LA Galaxy @ FC Dallas
Saturday, April 13, 2013
FC Dallas Stadium
Kick-off: 4:30 p.m
After a couple of weeks away from MLS action, the Galaxy resumes play in the domestic campaign on Saturday when they visit FC Dallas. Coming off CONCACAF Champions League elimination, the Galaxy will look to remain undefeated against Dallas, who have won four of their six games so far this season.
After their 3-1 defeat against Chivas USA, FC Dallas has gone unbeaten in the last four games. The Hoops’ only loss came on the road, so far being three for three at home. With their recent results, FC Dallas have placed themselves in first place in the Western Conference. The Galaxy, the only unbeaten team remaining in the league, managed to rescue a 2-2 result against Toronto on their only game away from home so far.
FC Dallas’ Jackson, Andrew Jacobson, and Blas Perez lead the team with two goals each, while Mike Magee leads the Galaxy and the rest of the league with five. Since the beginning of the season, Robbie Keane has only played two MLS games, missing compromises due to international duty or injury, and has tallied one goal. The Irishman was kept scoreless against Monterrey in CCL, making it over a month since we’ve seen him score. With the return of Landon Donovan a couple of weeks ago the Galaxy squad is pretty much complete, but the travel and Champions League games may be factors on deciding who sees the pitch on Saturday.
