Today it’s our absolute pleasure to announce that the LA Galaxy FO have withdrawn all sanctions against the Angel City Brigade. Effective immediately all supporter privileges have been reinstated, including drums, flags, and pre-game streamers. We appreciate the Galaxy FO’s reconsideration on this matter and thank them for always keeping communication open and honest, even when tensions were at their highest.
As a result of this repeal the Brigade will officially end our financial sanctions against Stub Hub Center, the team, and the league. Thank you to all LA Galaxy fans who sent letters to the FO, who showed up to our meetings to help us deliberate, and who participated in our silent protest to help the league recognize what stadium life would be like without its supporters.
We’d also like to thank the Independent Supporters Council and all the groups who stood with us. We were truly humbled by the assistance that was given. The banners, the social media messages, and everything else helped carry our voices and message from the stands into the front office. Let this now become a model for how unified supporters can affect this league for the better and a reminder to those throughout MLS that supporters are not hooligans, but instead organizations who ultimately want the same thing as the clubs (atmosphere & team success).
Now, with this behind us, it’s time to get back to what’s important: Supporting Our Team! We look forward to seeing all of the Brigade at our next home games to properly celebrate our fifth MLS Cup:
-March 28th: LA Galaxy II vs. Sacramento Republic FC
-April 12th: LA Galaxy vs. the Seattle Sounders
