LA Galaxy vs FC Dallas (4/28)
LA Galaxy vs FC Dallas
Saturday April 28, 2012
The Home Depot Center
Kick-off: 7:30 p.m.

It seems like the sleeping giant has been awakened. The LA Galaxy recorded their first consecutive wins of the season this past Saturday defeating the Colorado Rapids at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, winning a game away from home for the first time in the process. Captain Landon Donovan scored for the second game in a row, again with an assist from Robbie Keane. Late in the game David Junior Lopes committed a foul inside the box- at least, according to referee Ramon Hernandez- and Omar Cummings had a chance to tie the game at 2. Josh Saunders ensured the Galaxy would return to LA with three points by saving the penalty kick attempt in stoppage time.
The Galaxy will try to keep their winning streak alive when they play host to FC Dallas at the Home Depot Center this Saturday. The defending MLS Cup Champions will look to win back-to-back games at home for the first time this season. After six games LA has nine points, while Dallas has eleven points after playing eight games. The hoops currently stand two spots above the Galaxy in the Western Conference. LA is yet to record a shutout this season, although the team has not given up more than one goal in each of the last three games. FC Dallas, yet to gain a single point on the road, will visit the HDC after falling to Vancouver on Saturday and hosting Real Salt Lake on Wednesday.

Good preview! I feel like momentum is shifting to LA. They're finally getting out of the gate and seem to be a little more connected... should have been that way from the start but it happens... I expect at least a 3-1 score (given our current records at home..) I'd like to see a shutout because Saunders deserves it (aka worked his ass off) and I want my free chicken...
Josh, that's me! (apparently... I like being redundant =P)

Yup, Saunders does indeed deserve a shutout, and Keane deserves another goal. It's been a while for him, as he's become the distributor up top. I still haven't given up on Buddle, and I'd love to see both forwards get one: 2-0 Galaxy!

Gonna be "that guy" and say we get the tie. I pray I'm wrong and we win but us winning three in the a row isnt written in the cards...YET!! I just wanna the team play better as a whole and not really on our forwards to score.

I'm tempted to say 3-1, but I think it will be a tough game. I think it will be a lot of work to climb back up the ranks and I'm thinking a narrow win. Maybe 2-1 or 1-0 (our D is looking better every match as long as we can keep pressure on, and Saunders is in full form)

If Columbus beats Vancouver and Seattle can't beat Chicago, and the galaxy beat Dallas they move into 3rd place. A lot of ifs though, but look how fast we are climbing up the ranks =) We win 2-1
