LA Galaxy @ Seattle Sounders 5/2
LA Galaxy @ Seattle Sounders
Wednesday May 2nd, 2012
CenturyLink Field
Kick-off: 7 p.m
ACB Viewing Parties:
El Pescador/Frankie’s New York Italian

A goal in stoppage time from Pat Noonan allowed the LA Galaxy to salvage a point this past Saturday night against FC Dallas. LA had the opportunity to go up 1-0 when Landon Donovan was taken down inside the box in the second half, but Robbie Keane was unable to put the penalty kick away. A few minutes later Dallas had a penalty kick of their own and Brek Sheak was able to capitalize, putting the Hoops up 1-0. When it seemed like FC Dallas was walking out of the Home Depot Center with 3 points Noonan managed to score in the 92’ and tied the game at 1.
In a busy week, the Galaxy will travel to Seattle’s CenturyLink Field to play the Sounders on Wednesday night. LA, unbeaten in their last 3 matches, will look for their second consecutive win on the road, while Seattle will look for their first win at home against the Galaxy since joining MLS. The Galaxy are unbeaten in the last six MLS meetings (including playoffs) between both clubs, winning five of those. Since their 2-0 win over LA on August 15, 2009 the Sounders have 1 point out of 12 possible against the Galaxy. The Sounders have won three out of their four games played at home, while the Galaxy has won once and lost once on the road.
LA Galaxy:
10 points, 11 GF, 11 GA
3-3-1, 7th in Western
Home Record: 2-2-1
Away Record: 1-1-0
Seattle Sounders:
13 points, 8 GF, 3 GA
4-1-1, 4th in Western
Home Record: 3-1-0
Away Record: 1-0-1
THIS IS LA!

Wonderful write up as usual. I think this is going to be a tough one, maybe even tougher than Dallas. I feel like it will either be a narrow win or a tie.

Happy if we get a draw, win at home draw away is the way to finish top of the pile.

It's gonna be a tough game, Seattle usually is. I think we should let most of our subs play this game maybe a half and half cause as much as we need the win, I think they need the rest for Saturdays home game against NY. I think we can pull off the win, but a draw will help.

To rest players or not? This is a tough decision. This is why last game was so important. Win that one and it's a no brainer to rest players.
If it were me I'd rest becks and play keane for a half. I'd try to make this the most boring game possible and walk away with a point.

05-01-2012 #7I'd play starters tomorrow, on Saturday New York will be missing key players..having Henry out alone makes NY a weaker team.@SoccerByIves: Red Bulls look likely to face LA Galaxy next week without Henry, Marquez, Agudelo, Conde, Miller, Solli, Tainio, Keel.

Gaudette will start because Saunders is in a drug rehab!! Gonna be a tough mid-week away game up north and if we played like we did last Saturday, we're dead!
