Awesome!!
I'll be going on a trip down south in a month. Don't think they'd be very nice if I were to tell them I'm from LA haha...
For those of you that know me, you'll know where I'm headed..Last edited by Rob; 06-11-2012 at 04:15 PM.

Well see the thing is Europeans think Americans don't support the soccer we have. They're always amazed that we even chant and sing, to them we sit and eat popcorn. Mexico and central America know we have teams and have supporters so it's more of you could be my enemy instead of them being curious, even then I see them laughing than trying to beat your ass.

I see you visited our main club in downtown Athens.Unfortunately things are very bad for AEK we are struggling at the bottom of the table to avoid relegation for the first time.We have a very young team and no money. My other team West Ham (very popular these days in Greece especially among AEK fans-they even carry a Hammer flag in the stand just like the CU84 do) is doing quite well.If you wonder why West Ham for me take a look to my name.Steve Harris is the founder of Iron Maiden-best Heavy Metal band ever-and a passionate Hammer fan.Maiden's mascot called Eddie is very popular between footy fans all over the world

ACB Marseille and AEK athens explained.
Yes everyone treated us well in athens, we mostly stayed by exarchia. I keep track of the games here and watch the standings. AEK is not doing well at all and hopefully they win a few to stay up.
Well you loving Maiden makes you a bad ass. Love maiden as well, I got Eddie (killers album) tatt'd on me.
I've seen the hammer flags in both groups. The CU84 are friends with guys in the west ham firm. I know a few of the older and main members from CU84.

John this was an excellent post! I know it's really difficult to convey your true experience in a forum and with pictures but that sounded like an amazing experience! I'm glad steve (east london steve) started a thread about this earlier today because i somehow missed this thread on the boards.
Do you think we could get an CU84 and an R21 scarf hanging in Banana's since they have the ACB scarf hanging up in their clubhouses?

ACB Marseille and AEK athens explained.
So AEK got relegated today...... It gotta be one of the most fucked feelings ever.
The team had to win to give them a chance and instead got an own goal in the 87th I believe, so out of anger the supporters invaded the field and had the game stopped. Well the only thing with that is they got points deducted and now there is now way to stay up.
AEK is 89 years old and just celebrated there bday, they have never been relegated before.
