LA Galaxy @ FC Dallas (7/28)

    LA Galaxy @ FC Dallas
    Saturday, July 28, 2012
    FC Dallas Stadium
    Kick-off: 5:00 p.m
Viewing Party/Town Hall Meeting: BWW- West Covina

After defeating Chivas USA this past Saturday and now on a four game unbeaten run, the LA Galaxy will travel to Frisco, Texas this Saturday. In their battle to remain in playoff position and shorten the gap between themselves and the four teams currently above them in the standings, the Galaxy will look take three points against FC Dallas. The 2010 Western Conference champions are currently second to last in the standings, only above Portland.

It was this past weekend that Dallas was able to distance themselves and the Portland Timbers. In an absolutely dominating performance, the hoops gave the Timbers a 5-0 beat-down at FC Dallas Stadium. Though on the road they have not had much success, at home FC Dallas has obtained four of their five total victories this season. More impressive has been the Galaxy’s form as of late. Since returning from the international break, the Galaxy has scored twenty-three goals in nine games. LA’s offense has turned the season around for the Galaxy, who earlier this season were in the basement of the Western Conference.

In their first encounter of the season, LA and Dallas played to a 1-1 draw at the Home Depot Center in April. After a missed penalty kick attempt from Robbie Keane, a last-minute goal from Pat Noonan saw the Galaxy rescue a point after it looked like FC Dallas was leaving the HDC with three. When the two teams meet on Saturday, LA will be without captain Landon Donovan, who will be serving a one-game suspension due to yellow card accumulation. With five goals in the past four games, Robbie Keane will lead the attack for the Galaxy. Though it’s still unclear if David Beckham will participate in Saturday’s game, having already served a one-game suspension due to yellow-card accumulation, Beckham is a yellow card away from having to serve a second suspension. Defender David Junior Lopes is also a caution away from a suspension.

    LA Galaxy:
    30 points, 38 GF, 35 GA
    9-10-3, 5th in Western Conference
    Home Record: 5-5-1
    Away Record: 4-5-2

    FC Dallas:
    22 points, 25 GF, 30 GA
    5-10-7, 8th in Western Conference
    Home Record: 4-2-6
    Away Record: 1-8-1

    THIS IS LA!

If Becks plays I see him getting a yellow to avoid the turf in seattle. Im hoping Villareal gets the start with Keane up top, he looked good yesterday against tottenham.
What's the difference between a chimichanga, a chalupa, and a tostada? Call me back asap . . . it's urgent.

I think Beckham might be available as a sub. He'll be in London on Friday. LA should beat Dallas, should have done it in April and should be able to do it now. It looks like Bruce is trying to pair up Lopes and Omar at centerback, I'd prefer to have AJ-Omar instead. I agree about starting Villareal and Keane up top.

Sarvas continues to have good performances. Jimenez is also performing well.

I like our chances in this one a lot

    ------------------Saunders------------
    Dunivant-DeLaGarza-Gonzalez-Franklin
    Jimenez---Sarvas---Juninho--Magee
    -----------Keane--Barrett-----------

rest Beckham on the bench, and yea things will be good

because I won't be able to make the meeting, I'd like to throw two suggestions out there
    1. we should make patches that would could put on stuff that has the ACB logo with a galaxy color background or something like that. I know if i had one of those I would sew it on my Galaxy jersey and it would be awesome.

    2. We should do a chant to this tune, because its pretty easy and it would be cool to add another pogo chant

Nice to hear Omar is recovering well. Interested to see how his body is recovering from the Spurs match though.
An exclamation one might say if one were to meet a dragon: "Draco!!!! Strectus, Strectus, Strectus. Mortimus Sum!"
Dragon!!!! Shit, Shit, Shit. I'm going to die!

    LA -> London -> Philly -> London -> Dallas. That's a lot of travel.

Hopefully he starts out on the bench..and hopefully he stays there (meaning things will be going our way in the game). The backline will be tested throughtout the game, let's hope our forwards keep finding the back of the net.

I fucking love this chant. BVB use it as well:

skip to 10:05, sounds great and is very simple.

As for the game it should be another test after all of the turbulence following the Tottenham and All-star games.
