    Home Game Buses

It sure seems like we have enough people in the IE to have a bus to the HDC on game days. It's more fun, saves gas, and lets people get their drink on without driving.

Does this sound like something you guys would be interested in? An ACB member would have to run it (Vanessa and Lindsay already bust their butts for away games and viewing parties, although I'm sure they can give advice.)

I think it's worth looking into, and maybe hiting up some bars out there for sponsorship?

For sure it is. The bus could even stop in the oc to pickup more people.

I think if we let non-ACB use it we can fill a 50 person bus (all ACB would be way more fun though). We can probably get the Galaxy to advertise it if we want. Like John said, we need someone to step up.

Getting it to be mostly ACB with anyone else who wants to ride may also convince people to join if it becomes a regular thing and there is good atmosphere on the bus. Just a thought.

I like the idea even though I'm not IE. Seems like a good idea overall.

Of course, ACB would pay less.

If you can do this without losing money it would be a great recruiting tool.

Its definitely a great idea. I know when we come out from the IE for games we try to pack as many people in to a car as we can. If we had a van we'd bring even more... but the only issue I see with the buses is purely logistical and timing... Some of us like to go crazy early to the stadium... others a little later... but its a great idea in theory... Something that would require a lot of planning to pull off...

I'm guessing most people will want to get to HDC 2-3 hours before.kickoff. We can ask the Galaxy to advertise it and give ACB first chance to reserve spots. It can stop at 2 or 3 drinking establishments on the way out and back.

I think it's a really good idea. Maybe a few years ago I would have been willing to organize it, but I'm pretty swamped with stuff now. I'd happily use it though. I'll post something on my facebook since I have just about all of the IE people in ACB as friends and see if anyone is willing to step up and organize it.

Gary, Peter and I are talking about buying a beat up passenger van and painting it blue, white and gold to drive to the home matches.
