Official Vintage Vespa and Lambretta Post
For the past 3 seasons I've been asked if I can help them find a Vespa or Lambretta. But each time we talk we are usually inebriated, so here is the official post where you start your search.

Before you buy the first scoot you see, join Paisans and ask one of the ~900 members for advice. There are a lot of shiny looking scoots out there, that are not what they appear to be. Some of the scoots are what we call Viet-bodges. Hacked up bikes welded together, build really sloppy, and dangerous! Also many repair shops refuse to work on them. Anyway If you join Paisans, make sure to put ACB under bio, and "Looking for scoot" under model of scooter

Well if you have a budget, and you know what you are looking for hit me up, as I usually know of a few deals out there.
The only problem is that you have to be ready to buy, as some people have been hit hard by the economy, and they are in desperate need of quick cash.
The deals aren't around for long.

I have been DYING for a Lambretta, but I have no funds to drop a few grand on anything. Thank you! I'd totally forgotten about scoot.net

Time to revive this thread! As the official unofficial ACB scooter consultant I can help you out on a purchase.
Kier the deals are out there. Just be patient. I have a buddy who just picked up a project Series II Lambretta for $700
It was mostly all there except for the front fender. But heck! $700 is a steal!
BTW- Layla picked up a Vespa P125 a few weeks back.

Good to know about this. Looking into something for the short commute to the job I'll be starting soon... so I don't have to take my car even though it gets good gas mileage.
Josh, that's me! (apparently... I like being redundant =P)
